Our traveling circus themed shoot has been featured on the blog When Geeks Wed and we've featured several more of the photos here on our own blog. Check it out! We're very excited to share it with you!
Our inspiration for this styled shoot was an old gyspy caravan style wedding. We chose dark jewel toned colors, a rustic field setting, and grungy antique details. We even got to work with real clowns - no, not the creepy kind! Zero and Mim (the clown personalities of our bride and groom models) were downright adorable. Out of make-up, Marlena and Tyler made for a steamy in-love bride and groom. Their faux circus wedding was full of old fashioned charm, delicious details, and fresh ideas for the adventureous couple.
We had so much fun planning and creating this wedding inspiration & hope you love the incredible photography of our talented photographer Samantha Bonpensiero.

Nancy Easton of Easton Studios on Etsy sent us a beautiful collection of wedding stationary for the shoot! Look how perfectly they complimented the theme!

Marlena belongs on the cover of a magazine! Her make-up was done by Alexis Steeley of Vibrant One Make-Up and her wardrobe by Hope Stanley, bridal stylist. Samantha Bonpensiero was our amazing photographer and she knocked this one out of the park! All the yummy florals, decor, and DIY were from us, Marry Me Rosie!

We loved how the aisle turned out! It was like a magical garden had sprung up to usher the bride and groom down the aisle. DIY tip: Use pointed water tubes to keep your flower aisle fresh and well anchored in the ground.

We used lots and lots of rich red, indigo blue, mustard yellow, and brown to give off an old world feeling.

It was important to us to add little touches here and there to complete the mood. We used antique jars filled with cookies and caramel corn and covered the ground with as many colors, textures, and patterns as we could find.

Candlelight for later in the evening as the party winds down.

The ribbon tent was our "reception" space meant for an intimate party of four. Complete with munchies, wine, and dessert too!

A charming tablescape of old world flowers, wine, caramel corn, and a DIY golden elephant table number sit atop an old rustic crate.

Tyler and Marlena turned up the heat for the camera! Love this shot! Our Bridal Stylist Hope Stanley did an amazing job finding the gorgeous ruffled lace gown from Marry Me Bridal and hot tux with tails from Friar Tux!

Marlena sported some awesome lace up leather boots while Tyler went for proper in patent leather and polka dots of course!

A mix of luscious textures and colors make the bouquet pop against a rich teal and gold ribbon.

The only way to do it right. Thanks Hope Stanley & Friar Tux for the awesome classic tux!

Our bride and groom's ceremony space was presided over by the resident circus ring master under a old gnarled and dripping pepper tree. Doesn't she look stunning in her red jacket, stripes, and top hat? Rock it Jacqui!

This crowd knows how to have fun.

Too romantic for words.

We weren't planning on dressing up the pepper tree ceremony space, but we had flowers left over and they just couldn't go to waste! We created whimsical mini altar pieces from extra blooms and flower shaped candle stands.

Our groom's boutonniere sported a round dahlia, black peppers, and red cockscomb.

Munchies for the reception tent in true old world colors and charm.

We love this shot for so many reasons; golden lighting, vibrant florals, Marlena's incredible blue eyes & hot red dress! Samantha Bonpensiero captured this shot spectacularly!

Toss the kettle corn and wish the bride and groom the best!

What a cutie! Mim of ClownMa dell'Arte is just the sweetest with her little bouquet of snapdragons!

These two clowns are a couple both in and out of make-up! So sweet!

Zero & Mim have a moment together under a shower of kettle corn.

Oh Zero.... cookies are for guests!
